Autumn Poetry

Velvet shadows come and go,

Drifting, whisp’ring breezes,

Winged adieus that sadly blow,

Wave the shadow friezes

W Dayton Wegefarth

Besides the autumn poets sing,

A few prosaic days

A little this side of the snow

And that side of the haze

Emily Dickinson
